Chapter 9: The Breaking Point

The next morning, Emiliano called Patricia into his study.
He played the recording.
Patricia’s face went pale as she watched herself slap Rosa and scream at the children.
“Emiliano, I can explain—”
“There’s nothing to explain,” he said coldly. “Pack your things. I want you out of this house by tonight.”

Patricia’s sweet mask finally shattered completely.
“You’re choosing that maid over me?” she screamed. “After everything I did for you?”
“You did nothing for me,” Emiliano said. “You tried to turn me against the only person who was truly taking care of my daughters. Get out.”
Patricia left in a storm of curses and threats.
