Chapter 13 - The Reclaimed Legacy-13

Three months later.

The morning breeze off the Lagos lagoon blew gently across the newly renovated courtyard of Bolu’s Mechanical & Engineering Services in Victoria Island.

What had once been a small, struggling repair shop in Yaba had now expanded into a premier industrial maintenance firm, funded by the full release and restructuring of my late grandmother's corporate trust.

My name was proudly painted in bold, gold letters across the front entrance: BOLUWA TIFE ENGINEERING.

Dozens of young female apprentices in crisp blue overalls were moving about the workshop, learning the trades of plumbing, electrical engineering, and automotive mechanics under my direct supervision.

Ada walked into my air-conditioned corner office, holding a stack of fresh business contracts and two cups of iced coffee.

"Here you go, Boss," Ada smiled, sliding a cup onto my desk. "The Lagos State Ministry of Works just approved our tender for the municipal water pipeline project. It's a eighty-million-Naira contract."

I leaned back in my leather executive chair, taking a sip of the cold coffee, looking out through the glass window at my bustling workshop floor.

"Not bad for a girl who used to fix leaking pipes under the sink with a rusty wrench," I chuckled.

"You earned every single kobo of this, Bolu," Ada said softly, setting her hands on her hips. "You took a terrible situation designed to humiliate you, and you turned it into a foundation for an empire."

My phone chimed with an email notification. It was a formal notice from the Lagos State High Court.
