Chapter 3 - The Forensic Injunction-3

"Marshal! Secure the respondent's personal data devices and passport assets immediately!" Judge Hart ordered, her wooden gavel slamming down onto the marble pylon with a violent force that echoed like a gunshot through Room 3A. "This court is now entering an active federal security isolation protocol under the National Security Bank Fraud Acts. Mr. Vance, you are officially restrained from altering or deleting any digital file directories associated with Vance Meridian Group or Noraline Holdings pending a formal grand jury review."
The heavy electronic deadbolts on the courtroom double doors clicked shut with a sharp, hydraulic hiss, the bright green "Exit" signs shifting instantly to a stark, flashing crimson as the building's automated security containment matrix took over.
Julian lunged forward across his table, his fingers fumbling frantically inside his tailored jacket pocket for his personal mobile phone, desperate to enter a high-frequency remote data-wipe token that would incinerate his offshore server registries in Nicosia before the federal tech units could mirror the drives.
But the court marshal was already there. He launched his broad frame across the counsel aisle, his large hands locking around Julian’s wrist with an iron strength that forced the phone from his frozen fingers, the silver compact device clattering dismally across the floorboards into the darkness beneath the gallery benches.
"This is an administrative ambush!" Julian roared, his corporate composure completely bursting into a desperate, high-pitched wail of pure animalistic rage as two uniform state troopers slammed his body weight down against the mahogany table, driving his arms behind his back to snap the heavy steel handcuffs around his wrists. "Iris! You planned this! You’ve been running a deep-system surveillance matrix on my office for twelve months! Maribel is a thief! She stole those files from the company’s secure disaster recovery center!"

"Maribel didn't steal anything, Julian," I said, my voice completely flat, devoid of any anger or hesitation as I stood tall at my table, the simple gray coat still draped over my chair. I looked down into his ruined face with a profound, clinical detachment. "She didn't have to break into your vault because I was the one who built the encryption architecture for that server core ten years ago when you were too busy drinking corporate champagne to learn how to read a network diagram. I didn't manage your image, Julian. I monitored your crimes."
Marcus Hale slid a secondary document block across the table, the parchment paper glinting with the official gold foil seals of the Federal Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. "Your Honor, the Cyprus wire transfers Mr. Vance executed under his wife’s forged biometric tokens... they were frozen at ninety-nine point eight percent before his network handlers could launch the final execution script. The eighty-five million dollars in corporate reserves has been safely secured in a federal holding account registered to the Iris Vance Foundation for Child Security and Forensic Advocacy."
