Chapter 15 - The Infinite Horizon-15

The sun was setting over the Silver River, painting the sky in sweeping, brilliant arcs of rose gold, deep violet, and warm amber. A gentle, cool breeze swept through the pine trees, carrying the sweet scent of wild earth, damp cedar, and blooming winter jasmine.

Perched on the high ridge, our estate shone like a beacon of warmth and light against the darkening valley.

Lily and I stood on the wide wooden porch, leaning against the railing side-by-side, holding our cups, watching the first stars begin to twinkle above the mountain peaks.

There were no first-class upgrades left to fight over. There were no corporate ledgers left to balance. There were no toxic secrets left to unmask.

There was only the quiet, holy peace of a home built on truth, protected by strength, and sustained by an unbroken, unconditional love.
