Chapter 2 - The Corporate Frame-Up-2

The silence in Family Courtroom 3A broke into a chaotic, roaring wave of murmurs as the gallery realized they were witnessing the public unmasking of a calculated corporate heist. Caleb’s face had drained of all color, his eyes wide and burning with a terrifying, manic desperation as the video continued to play.
On the screen, Caleb could be seen pulling a secondary device from the manila folder—a small, high-frequency hardware clone of my corporate administrative key. He docked it into his laptop, validating a massive, cascading series of data transfers that were routing directly to an offshore shell firm called Pan-Atlantic Holdings based out of Nicosia.
"Claire," my lawyer whispered, his fingers flying across his legal pad as he processed the technical reality playing out on the monitor. "He didn't just siphon money. He used a localized hardware mirror to fake your biometric authorization at midnight. That’s why your accounting servers flagged the variance last month."
"I know," I breathed, my throat burning as I looked at Harper. She was still standing, her small hands clasped together, her face a pale mask of absolute childhood bravery. She had carried this weight alone for weeks, hiding her tablet because her own father had threatened her with the destruction of our family if she ever spoke the truth.
Caleb’s lawyer, Evelyn Vance, slowly lowered her pen, her face turning a sharp, bloodless white as she stepped away from Caleb’s table. "Your Honor, I must formally request a recess to consult with my client. The nature of this evidence falls entirely outside the scope of our domestic custody preparation."
"The request for a recess is denied, Ms. Vance," Judge Mercer countered, her wooden gavel slamming down onto the marble pylon with a violent force. "This court is now entering an emergency protection matrix. Marshal, secure the respondent’s passport and communication devices immediately."

Caleb lunged forward, his hand fumbling frantically inside his jacket pocket for his phone, desperate to enter a remote data-wipe command to clear his offshore routing servers. But the court marshal was already there, his heavy hand locking around Caleb's wrist with an iron strength, wrestling the device away before his thumb could touch the screen.
"This is a setup!" Caleb roared, his voice cracking into a desperate, high-pitched wail as the steel handcuffs snapped around his wrists. "Claire is the senior acquisitions director! She’s the one who authorized the Cayman wires! She’s using our daughter to frame me because she found out about my personal accounts!"
